You’re nobody north of the border till you share a microphone with Nardwuar, the Human Serviette, singular interviewer of celebrities, especially those identifiable as Canucks. Our Girl Carly Rae Jepsen recently joined the esteemed club of Nardwuar interviewees (including Lil Wayne, Skrillex, and countless others), with the goofy, golf-capped Canadian reminding Carly Rae of obscure details from her past life, including her love of The Bangles, her days as a singer in a blues band (including the composition of the no-doubt anthemic “Blues for Carly (I Wanna Meet Boys),” and the celebration of Carly Rae Jepsen Day in Mission, British Colombia on Aug. 25th (“School still runs, so it’s not that great,” explains Carly.)
The interview is of course a must-watch for fans of Carly Rae and/or the Human Serviette. And if anyone out there has a “Blues for Carly” demo available for listening, we’d be lying if we said we weren’t curious.
