Travis Barker might not have grown up in Compton or starred in Boyz N the Hood, but that doesn’t mean that punk police aren’t afraid of him. The Blink-182 drummer was pulled over in L.A. last week for not having a front plate on his Chevy, and—according to his rep—the police continued to search his vehicle for drugs and weapons after seeing the surfeit of tattoos on his person. After TMZ reported the story, pointing out that this was the second time Barker was so profiled, the former reality star went on a rant over Twitter:
FYI,I had no tinted windows & was only missing a front license plate ~ Travis Barker — LAPD is Profiling Metmz.com/2012/10/20/tra… via @tmz

As much as I’d love 2 sit down with the LAPD, i honestly think there is better /more productive things we could both be doin with our time.

The hr they wasted on Wed pulling me over because of whatever reason i feel is enough. Sucks cause i know there is some good ones out there
— Travis Barker (@travisbarker) October 21, 2012
It’s unfortunate i get pulled over by the one who was probably bullied or insecureand bored and had nothing better to do with his time.

Too many cops using excessive force these days, shootin’ innocent people/kids/women. Everyday on the news something new. My incident is minor
— Travis Barker (@travisbarker) October 21, 2012
Feel like they do more worse than good anymore. If anything their actin’/conducting themselves like a “gang” nowadays .That’s all…

Seems like Travis could learn a lesson or two from Jay-Z about knowing his rights and not letting the cops illegally search his shit. So much drama in the City of Angels.
